Description
At Symmetry Dance Company in Scranton, PA, our Principal II Company Program represents the pinnacle of training within the Company track, offering dancers an advanced and pre-professional level experience. Meeting twice each week, Principal II dancers take separate ballet, tap, and contemporary classes while also participating in combined Company classes in hip hop, jazz, modern, and an additional contemporary class with Senior and Principal I levels. This comprehensive structure allows dancers to refine technique, versatility, and artistry at the highest standard.
Principal II dancers may also add Acro to continue strengthening their control and flexibility. Leaps & Turns is available for further refinement of technical precision and performance quality. Pointe is offered to eligible dancers who demonstrate the advanced technique, strength, and artistry necessary for success in pointe work.
This program is designed for dancers who are committed to achieving the highest level of discipline, versatility, and artistry, preparing them for collegiate dance programs, professional opportunities, and leadership within the studio and beyond.
Details
Tuition:
- $95-$115/month — 4-6 classes (+$10/month per class)
- $120-$130/month — 7-9 classes (+$5/month per class)
- Acro: +$25/Month ($60 standalone)
Dress Code:
Attire & Shoes:
- Any color leotard
- Any color tights
- Pink ballet shoes
- Tan tap shoes
- White sneakers (no street shoes)
- Tan jazz shoes or half-soles
- Acro: Foot undeez/Bare feet
Hair:
- Hair is to be secured away from the face, usually in a ponytail or bun
Boys:
- Comfortable t-shirt and pants/shorts
- Black ballet shoes
- Black tap shoes
- White sneakers (no street shoes)
- Black jazz shoes
- Acro: Foot undeez/Bare feet
Class Requirements
Beginning at the Sophomore level, Company students are required to attend a minimum of 2 days per week. Students who are unable to commit to this requirement may be enrolled in our Pre-Teen program, which meets one day per week.
Acro:
- Attendance of at least 2 Summer Acro Camp sessions
Pointe:
- Five years of previous ballet experience
- Two years of pre-pointe
- Attendance of at least 2 Summer Pre-Pointe/Pointe Conditioning sessions
- Concurrent Ballet enrollment
Contemporary:
- Concurrent Ballet enrollment
